Interactive Bayeux Tapestry performances at the Yorkshire Museum, indoors and out, on two dates this half-term.

HistoryRiot bring the Bayeux Tapestry to life at the Yorkshire Museum on Tuesday 27 and Friday 30 October 2026, with performances running throughout the day at 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. The stories and scenes stitched into the medieval embroidery are explored through interactive performances that move between indoors and the York Museum Gardens outside. The 12 noon and 2.30pm performances take place inside the museum and are included in general admission, while the 11am and 1.30pm performances happen outdoors in York Museum Gardens and are free to watch, no museum ticket needed. It's suitable for all ages and forms part of the museum's October half-term programme, which also includes weaving activities, a craft session and daily dinosaur backpacks and trails on other days.
