Monthly illustrated railway history talks from guest speakers, held in Belfast through the winter months.
The RPSI runs a season of monthly illustrated talks through the winter, given by guest speakers covering all corners of Ireland's railway history, from long-vanished branch lines to steam locomotive restorations. Each evening opens with a short "Newsreel" update on recent RPSI activities, and the Society's shop sells railway books and pictures before the meeting and again at the interval, when refreshments are available for a small donation. Talks are held at Parke Hall, Orangefield Presbyterian Church, Castlereagh Road, Belfast, and are fully accessible for wheelchair users. Everyone is welcome. Upcoming dates include 7 October 2026 (The Sligo Leitrim Remembered), 11 November 2026 (The BCDR Revisited) and 9 December 2026 (NCC Mogul Renaissance), with further talks running into 2027. Doors and talks begin at 7.30pm, finishing by 10pm.
