Sold-out day of talks, artist conversations and gallery tours at the V&A exploring Nigerian design and culture.

This V&A Academy event runs from 12.00 to 18.00 in the Learning Centre, with arrival and registration from 11.30 and a final networking gathering from 17.30 to 18.00. Across the day there are curator talks and artist conversations exploring Nigerian culture through the V&A collections, including a presentation on leather from Northern Nigeria with Dr Eva Namusoke and an in-conversation session with artist Oliver Enwonwu and Nike Awoyinka. Ticket holders also choose one activity per session slot from options such as an Adire textile handling workshop, a look at prints, posters and photography, or guided tours of Nigerian objects across the galleries. The event forms part of the V&A Academy's celebration marking Nigeria's Independence and is aimed at adults, bringing together artists, curators and cultural practitioners for the day. Tickets cost £15 and booking was essential, but the event is now sold out.</description> <parameter name="price_from_pence">1500
