Ages 12+

Free screening of the documentary Something That Was Ours, exploring witchcraft and midlife, recommended for ages 12 and over.

The Portico Library is screening Something That Was Ours, directed by Rosie Reed Hillman, as part of its Witches and Healers exhibition. The documentary follows three women in midlife as they walk their own paths as witches, capturing intimate and rarely seen ceremonies and spells, and touching on themes of ageing, recovery from trauma, connection with nature and the nature of magic itself. The screening takes place in the Library's Reading Room, a small and intimate space, so places are limited and booking ahead is recommended. Entry is free. The film is recommended for ages 12 and over.
