A one-day silver wire weaving workshop in Edinburgh where you make your own pair of earrings.
Spend a day at the Drill Hall learning Trichinopoly, a hand-weaving technique that turns fine silver wire into soft, textile-like jewellery. The workshop is led by precious metal weaver Cameron Murdoch of Leith Jewellery Studios, who talks you through the repetitive looping process from a simple spool of wire through to a finished pair of lightweight silver earrings with a soft, organic drape. No experience is needed and all the silver for your earrings is included in the price. It's a slow, hands-on session suited to anyone wanting a break from screens and a calm, focused day of making something to wear home.
