The Gathering

A five-day piping course in Glasgow for intermediate players and above, with tuition, masterclasses and social time.

The Gathering is a five-day piping event at the National Piping Centre in Glasgow, running from 2 to 6 November 2026. It combines whole-group workshops with focused breakout sessions, tune learning and repertoire development, plus technique and performance masterclasses. This year there's also a structured pathway for amateur solo piping, letting players pick classes suited to their own goals. It's aimed at intermediate-level players and above, including solo pipers, band members, adult learners returning to piping or looking to progress, and musicians after fresh inspiration. Alongside the structured learning, the week includes time to socialise and connect with fellow pipers once the day's classes are done.
