Christmas market at The Bishop's Palace with around 70 local makers selling gifts, food and drink.

Around 70 local makers, craftspeople and food and drink producers set up across The Bishop's Palace for this festive weekend market. Stalls sell handmade gifts including ceramics, pottery, silver jewellery, stained glass, lino-cut prints, pressed flowers, wooden toys and Christmas garlands, with a new dedicated food and drink marquee offering local cheeses, meats, cakes, brownies, chocolates, preserves and artisan drinks such as gin, rum and cream liqueurs. Tickets are £9 and include entry to the market plus the medieval Palace and its 14 acres of gardens. A reduced £7.50 ticket is available for entry from 2pm onwards, which is also recommended if you'd rather avoid the busiest period between 11am and 1pm. On Saturday 14 November, Wells City Band will perform live from 12noon until 2pm.
