Ages 16+

Monthly play reading social for adults 16+, meeting in the Garrick Bar to read plays aloud together.

A relaxed, no pressure play reading club for adults 16+ who love theatre, drama, comedy, musical theatre or poetry and fancy meeting new people. The idea is simple: everyone reads a part out loud together, no auditions, no rehearsal, just a go at the script in the company of the Garrick Bar. Refreshments are available from 12pm with reading starting at 12.30pm, and sessions run for around three hours. The club meets monthly with a different title each time: The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde on 4th September, The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman on 2nd October, Blue Stockings by Jessica Swale on 6th November, and The Good Life by Jeremy Sams on 4th December. There's no session in August. Tickets are £7.
