Becoming Archived: Lesbian Snapshot Collective

A two-hour workshop at Stills exploring personal photographs and stories of lesbian lives, run by the Lesbian Snapshot Collective.

Becoming Archived is a workshop run by the Lesbian Snapshot Collective (LSC), who believe everyday snapshots belong in the archive alongside fine-art photography. The session looks at how lesbian lives and stories, often excluded from or misrepresented in archives, can enter the record on participants' own terms. Over two hours, participants are invited to explore their own photographs, thinking about what the images show, what lies beyond the frame, and what they remember beyond the picture itself. It's a friendly, creative space where you share as much or as little as feels right, and listen to the similarities and differences in each other's stories. Each person decides what to share and whether anything is kept on record after the workshop ends.
