A free self-guided autumn trail at Staveley Nature Reserve to spot fungi, migrating birds and seasonal colour.
Wander the trail at Staveley Nature Reserve during half term and see how the reserve changes with the season, from orange and red leaves to fungi popping up on trees and on the ground, plus a chance to spot birds heading off to warmer places. It's a self-guided walk around an accessible gravel path, so you can go at your own pace and take as long as you like. It's free to visit, and dogs are welcome on a lead. Wear walking boots and dress for the weather, bring binoculars if you fancy a spot of birdwatching, and pack snacks and drinks if you need them, just take any rubbish home with you. There's a small car park just outside Staveley village on Minskip Road with space for 12 cars, plus disabled parking and accessible trails on site.
