Have a go at firing a crossbow at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, daily for £8.

The Crossbow Challenge runs every day at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, giving visitors the chance to try their hand at firing a crossbow under supervision. It's a hands-on activity that sits alongside the museum's galleries of arms and armour, letting you have a go at a skill connected to the collection rather than just looking at it behind glass. The activity runs daily between 10:30am and 4:30pm and costs £8. Museum entry itself is free, so this is a paid extra to add on to your visit. Young people aged 15 and under need to be with a responsible adult at all times while at the museum.
