A Black History Month talk at Riverside Museum exploring language, lascars and loos in Glasgow's history.

This is a Black History Month event at Riverside Museum, part of the museum's free events programme. It's called "Language, lascars and loos" and takes place on Tuesday 6th October 2026 at 2pm, exploring aspects of Glasgow's history connected to Black History Month. Riverside Museum has free entry with no need to book, so you can simply drop in for this talk. The museum is located at the junction of the Rivers Kelvin and Clyde and has full wheelchair and pram access, baby changing facilities and a cafe on site if you want to make a day of it.
