A Krampus-themed steam weekend at Papplewick Pumping Station with the Whitby Krampus Run, drumming, parades and all engines in steam.
Kramplewick returns to Papplewick Pumping Station for a weekend that mixes the site's historic steam engines with a Krampus twist. The Whitby Krampus Run will be causing mischief across the site both days, with drumming and parades to join in with, live entertainment to watch and stalls to browse. Papplewick's original twin beam engines, built by James Watt & Co, will be in steam and running in the Victorian engine house for the full weekend. The event runs from 10am to 4pm on both days at Papplewick Pumping Station, Rigg Lane, Ravenshead, Nottingham. It suits anyone keen on a bit of atmospheric spectacle alongside industrial history, with plenty going on outdoors and in for those who fancy joining the parades or just watching the engines at work.
