A weekend harvest celebration at Norton Priory with an artisan market, mulled cider bar, live bands and garden games.
The Autumn Orchard Festival celebrates the harvest from Norton Priory's extensive orchards, including the National Collection of Tree Quince, the only one of its kind in the UK. Visitors can browse an artisanal market in the museum building with gifts and produce from the orchards and Walled Garden, try a pop-up bar serving mulled cider and other seasonal drinks in the medieval Undercroft, and catch live performances from local bands. Out in the Walled Garden there are outdoor games on the croquet lawn including pumpkin ring toss and skittles, plus an autumnal trail around the garden. New for this year is the first Norton Priory Bake-Off at the Walled Garden, with homemade apple and quince cakes competing for Best Bake. The festival is included with General Admission, and up to 3 children go free per paying adult. Booking online ahead of time gets a discount, with pre-booking closing at 11.45pm the night before a visit; otherwise General Admission can be paid on arrival.
