A new exhibition exploring community life through sculpture, at the National Coal Mining Museum.

Villagers: Sculpting the Community is an exhibition at the National Coal Mining Museum for England, looking at the people and communities that grew up around coal mining through sculptural work. It runs from 23 October 2026 to 24 January 2027 and is included in the museum's free entry. The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, so there's plenty of chance to fit a visit in alongside the rest of what's on site, including the mining collections and family activities.
