Join MBBCS Chair Paul Hindle for a talk on the changing transport links along the Lancaster Canal, covering earlier turnpikes, then the railways, and finally the modern roads and motorways. It's delivered in partnership with the Inland Waterways Association and takes place at the Castlefield Hotel on Liverpool Road, Manchester. The talk is open to everyone with an interest in local history, waterways and heritage, and there's no charge to attend. It starts at 7.30pm; just ask at the bar where the canal event is taking place.
