Drop-in finds day where you can learn about archaeological objects you've found and hand them in for official recording.

If you've picked up an archaeological object in your garden, out walking, or metal detecting, bring it along to this free finds day on the Top Floor at Manchester Museum. A specialist will help identify what you've found and can record it with the Portable Antiquities Scheme, which keeps a national record of archaeological finds made by the public. It's a drop-in session, so there's no need to book, just turn up any time between 10:30 and 15:00 with whatever you've discovered.
