Diwali

A free drop-in Diwali celebration filling Manchester Museum with colour for the day.

Manchester Museum marks Diwali with a free celebration across the whole building, open to everyone who fancies dropping in. It's a chance to share in the colour of the festival, which is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains around the world, with activities taking place in different galleries throughout the museum. There's no need to book, just turn up on the day. It suits families looking for something free to do together, as well as anyone curious to find out more about the festival and its traditions.
