Pulitzer prize-winning opera at London Coliseum, 18+ guidance, exploring themes of modern slavery.
Angel's Bone is an ENO production of Du Yun and Royce Vavrek's Pulitzer prize-winning opera, staged in collaboration with Factory International and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The story follows a couple who take in two injured angels and exploit them for fame and fortune, a dark parable touching on modern slavery and human trafficking, told through a mix of musical styles including chamber, cabaret, electronica and punk, with staging that uses projection and multiple viewing angles. Sung in English with surtitles, the opera runs 1 hour 15 minutes with no interval. This is an 18+ recommended production due to its themes of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and extreme violence, and children under 5 are not allowed in the auditorium. A British Sign Language interpreted performance takes place on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 19:30. Tickets start from £25.
