A free evening at Leicester Cathedral with Professor Anthony Reddie on faith, empire and colonial history.

This is an evening event run by Opal22 Arts and Edutainment at Leicester Cathedral, exploring colonialism and the role of the Church. Professor Anthony Reddie leads an expert discussion on the connections between faith, empire and the experiences of African and Caribbean communities, looking at how the Church of England has shaped history and how faith institutions today are engaging with acknowledgment, reconciliation and reparative justice. After the discussion there's a creative workshop where attendees contribute to a live interactive installation that will later form part of an exhibition. It's a space for reflection and dialogue on shared history. Tickets are free but need to be reserved in advance via Eventbrite.
