Barbie: The Exhibition makes its Scottish debut at Kelvingrove, running until 18 October 2026.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow is hosting Barbie: The Exhibition, on now until 18 October 2026. The museum itself has free entry with donations welcome, and the site prompts visitors to "buy tickets now" for this exhibition, so it's worth booking through the Kelvingrove or Glasgow Life ticketing page before you go. Kelvingrove is a good one for a family day out, with 22 galleries covering everything from art to Ancient Egypt, wheelchair and pram access throughout via lifts, baby changing facilities, a hearing loop, and two cafés on site (the KG Café with table service and the more casual KG Coffee Shop, both offering vegan, gluten and dairy free options). Do note that restoration works are under way at the museum, so parking on the west side is closed and spaces are limited to 58 in total, with alternative parking suggested at Bunhouse Road next to Kelvin Hall. The venue stays open throughout the building works. Nearest public transport includes Kelvinhall subway station about half a mile away, and Partick, Charing Cross and Exhibition Centre train stations around a mile away.
