An exhibition at the Hunterian Museum tracing 250 years of the operating theatre as a space in hospitals.

This exhibition at the Hunterian Museum looks at how the operating theatre has developed over 250 years, from an often hidden space to one of the most recognisable parts of a hospital. It traces the changing role, design and purpose of the operating theatre through the museum's collections. The exhibition runs from 10th September to 31st October 2026 at the Hunterian Museum in Lincoln's Inn Fields, London. Entry to the museum is free, though booking is recommended, and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
