Ghost Tours after dark at Herstmonceux Castle

After-dark ghost tours of Herstmonceux Castle on three October nights, suitable for ages 12 and up.

For three nights this October, Herstmonceux Castle opens after dark for a guided ghost tour with guide Andy, exploring ghost stories, reported sightings and some of the more unsettling tales connected with the castle. Much of the building is in darkness along the route, with jump scares built in, making this a very different experience from the daytime castle tours. Tours run on Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th October, with two tours each evening at 5.30pm and 7.30pm. Each tour lasts at least one hour and is limited to 30 people. The experience is for ages 12 and over only, and involves a significant number of stairs plus low-light conditions, so it may not suit anyone with mobility or visual impairment concerns, or anyone affected by sudden scares, fright or darkness. Tickets cost £16 per person, and anyone with accessibility questions can contact the venue before booking to talk through the route.
