National Theatre of Scotland brings Muriel Spark's The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie to the Citizens Theatre's Main Theatre, adapted by David Harrower and directed by Vicky Featherstone, with Gayle Rankin leading the cast as the charismatic and controlling Edinburgh teacher. The run is approximately 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval, tickets were priced from £14.50 to £43.50, and the production is recommended for ages 14 and up as it contains scenes of a sexual nature and partial nudity. This run is now sold out. Performances run from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October 2026, with evening shows at 7.30pm and matinees at 2pm on the Thursday and Saturday. There's an Audio Described and Captioned performance on Friday 23 October at 7.30pm, with a Touch Tour beforehand at 6.30pm, and a BSL-interpreted performance on Saturday 24 October at 2pm. The Main Theatre has wheelchair user positions in the stalls and circle, hearing aid induction loops, and level access via the Courtyard and Close lifts, with a small car park including blue badge spaces.
