Chatsworth's farmyard gets into half term spirit with Halloween-themed crafts, face painting and a spooktacular tractor and trailer ride. Families can also try animal feeding and guinea pig cuddling, with timings posted on the display boards in the farmyard. Pumpkin carving is part of the fun too, but that runs only until 31 October, so it finishes before the half term activities wrap up on 1 November. The farmyard and playground are accessed as part of a normal Chatsworth visit, with tickets bookable online. It suits families with younger children looking for a hands-on, outdoor half term outing in the Peak District.
