Museums in Brighton
Brighton's big museum moment is really one building, but what a building. The Royal Pavilion sits right in the centre, an onion-domed palace with music rooms that look like nowhere else in England, and it works on timed tickets so you book your slot before you go rather than queueing on the day. There is a cafe and gift shop on site, plus accessible toilets and wheelchair access throughout, which makes it a straightforward half day out with a pushchair or a wheelchair user in the group. It suits older children who can cope with looking rather than touching, more than toddlers who want to run about. Book ahead, and build in time either side for the gardens outside.
