What it’s like

Adults-only Tuesday night salsa in Belfast, £10 a class, no partner and no booking needed.

This one's for grown-ups, not a family activity. Tuesday nights at 8pm you can turn up on your own and learn salsa, beginners and improvers together in the same class. Nobody minds if you have never danced before, and the site is upfront that people come along solo all the time and end up loving it.

No partner needed either. The class rotates every three to four minutes, so you work your way round the room and dance with a good few different people over the hour rather than being stuck with whoever you walked in with. That rotation is doing a lot of the work here, it is what stops an hour of salsa steps turning into an awkward stand-off with a stranger.

It is pay as you go at £10 a class. Ten-class gift vouchers are available at £80, or £160 for two people, which works out a bit cheaper per session if you know you'll keep going. There's also a wedding dance voucher at £100 for couples working on a first dance.

Beyond the weekly class, they do hen parties, corporate events and other custom sessions.
