What it’s like
Soft play climbing and sliding for under-11s, with a fenced-off corner for the crawling ones and junior football coaching on the side.
The soft play frame is where most of the visit happens, with climbing, sliding and crawling bits for kids up to about 11. There's a separate under-5s area too, so a toddler who just wants to potter about isn't getting flattened by an eight-year-old mid-slide. For the older end, Junior Football Coaching runs alongside the soft play for the 5 to 11s who'd rather be kicking a ball about than climbing a frame.
You don't need to book for a normal soft play visit, you just turn up and pay on the day, which makes it an easy one for a rainy Tuesday. Opening hours do shift about week to week because parties and venue hire take over the space, so the time that worked last visit might not this time. Parking is free on site, which is one less thing to think about.
Woolsheds Café Bar does fresh food, hot drinks and takeaway options if you want to eat in, and it also serves evening snacks and alcohol, so it clearly has a life beyond soft play hours too. If you're planning a birthday, there are three party packages: Monkey Madness at £125 for a minimum of ten children, Rookie at £180, and an Exclusive Package for up to 80 children at £200. All three need a £50 deposit to book and that deposit is non-refundable.
