Aquariums & Sea Life in Hull
The Deep is the one everyone means when they say aquarium in Hull, right on the waterfront and close to the centre. Sharks glide overhead in the tunnel, tickets start from £18, and there's a cafe and parking on site, so it's an easy indoor plan when the weather's against you. It's not set up for soft play, so this is more watching than climbing. If you fancy a longer trip out to York, Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park does things differently. It's not fish, but it fits alongside aquariums for anyone chasing animal encounters, from £5.50 for ages 3 and up, with keeper sessions where you can meet meerkats, lemurs and giant tortoises. Booking is required, so sort that before you set off. For a straightforward day close to home, The Deep wins; for something further afield with hands-on animal time, York is worth the drive.
