Victorian Street Fair

Heritage train rides at Whitehead Railway Museum combined with the town's Victorian Street Fair.

Your ticket gets you into Whitehead Railway Museum and onto a short heritage train ride around the museum grounds, with a chance to explore the historic locomotives and carriages on display. Trains run at set times through the day, starting at 11:00 with departures at 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, then 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30 and 16:00, and you're asked to arrive 15 minutes before your booked slot. After your train ride, head into the town of Whitehead for the Victorian Street Fair, which runs from 12 noon to 6pm with traditional stalls and entertainment. It makes for a full day out, and coming along in period costume adds to the occasion. Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children and £15 for a family ticket, plus a £1 booking fee per basket.
